One motor with a power of 204 hp. and a traction battery with a capacity of 61 kWh
Omoda has already officially announced the Omoda E5 electric crossover for Russia: it is already known that sales will start in April, but no technical characteristics have been disclosed. But in Kazakhstan they talked about the units and the equipment of the crossover interior. Considering that exactly the same car will arrive in Russia, you can evaluate its characteristics right now.
Omoda E5 does not have all-wheel drive — There is only one motor, it rotates the front wheels. Moreover, the engine is made in one housing with a gearbox and a control unit — this saves space and reduces weight, which is important for an electric vehicle (in the usual case, due to the traction battery, it is heavier than the exact same car, but with an internal combustion engine). Engine power is 204 hp, torque — 340 N·m.
The capacity of the traction battery is 61 kW·h, the power reserve measured using the WLTP method, — 430 km. If you charge the battery from an 80 kW terminal, it will take 28 minutes to charge 50% (from 30% to 80%). At the same time, Omoda E5 can share energy — You can connect household electrical appliances to the electric vehicle. The car body is 78% made of high-strength steel.
The car is equipped with two 12.3-inch screens in a single unit (the hardware platform of the media system is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 SoC), 50 W wireless charging for a smartphone, and there are more than 20 active driver assistance systems ( lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, etc.).
