A three-motor system produces 200 hp. and consumes only 5.65 l/100 km
Honda has officially unveiled the 2025 Civic. The car has received a slightly updated «face» (the radiator grille has become larger, the front bumper has changed somewhat, the rear optics are now darkened), but the main innovation – under the hood.
Honda says the 2025 Civic – the most powerful car in the entire history of the model, unless you count the Type-R version. This is all because of the new hybrid powertrain: it is built around a 2.0-liter gasoline engine operating on the Atkinson cycle. The internal combustion engine is complemented by two electric motors. Total system power – 200 hp (torque – 315 N·m). The new power plant is not only more powerful than the 1.5-liter turbo engine, but also more economical: the declared consumption – only 5.65 l/100 km.
The hybrid received an energy recovery system during braking and a modified suspension. The automaker said hybrids – the quietest Civic of all versions of the car. Hybrids received a 12-speaker sound system and a media system with a 9-inch screen; the Sport Touring Hybrid version offered Google services for the first time for the Civic.
Honda Civic 2025 will appear at dealers in the United States in June, and prices will be announced at that time. There are two hybrid configurations – Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid, there are also two versions with a conventional gasoline engine (2.0-liter) – LX and Sport.
