This is a small sports car SSC SC-01
The Xiaomi-backed startup introduced the SSC SC-01 sports car last fall, and now the new product has been put into production. The two-seater electric sports car is available for pre-order for $42,000. SSC intends to begin sales of the SC-01 in China in 2024.
The length is 4105 mm, the width is 1830 mm, the height is 1160 mm with a weight of 1370 kg. The center of gravity is 380 mm, which corresponds to the level of GT3 racing cars. The roof has a folding design, the diameter of the brake disc is 350 mm, the body is made of a tubular frame made of chrome-molybdenum steel, the battery is located in the middle to make the structure lighter. The vehicle is equipped with a curved windshield to reduce drag coefficient and optimize aerodynamics.
Total peak power of the electric motor: 320 kW, peak torque: 560 N·m. The car has all-wheel drive and a sports mode with autonomous adjustment; it uses active thermal control technology. The range reaches 520 km, while charging from 30% to 80% takes less than 25 minutes.
The developers received significant funding from Xiaomi. Since the Xiaomi SU7 will be manufactured by BAI, it can be assumed that the SSC SC-01 may also be manufactured by BAIC.
