Haval is already in the lead
The share of Chinese cars in sales on the Russian market reached 58%, which is 38% more than a year earlier. According to the online platform «Avito Auto», the average price of a new Chinese car in 2023 was 2.98 million rubles.
Demand and supply in the Chinese car segment have also increased significantly. Over the past year, demand for new Chinese cars has grown by 280%, and supply — by 440%.
Among new cars, Haval is the most popular among buyers, occupying 9.2% of the market among Chinese brands, with an average price of 2.22 million rubles (3.5% less than a year earlier). Chery took second place with a market share of 7.2% and an average price of 4.85 million rubles (+24.6%). The top 5 also included Changan (6.9%), Geely (6.3%) and Omoda (4.9%).
The most popular model among new Chinese cars was the Haval Jolion crossover with an average price of 2.41 million rubles and a market share of 4.5%. The top 10 also includes crossovers Omoda C5, Geely Coolray, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max and Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, Jetour Dashing, Geely Monjaro, Haval F7x, Haval F7 and Geely Tugella.
