Players will be able to try out the “War Games” mode, in which they need to take part in battles on four maps
Blackbird Interactive and Gearbox Publishing have released a free demo of the “War Games” mode in their space strategy Homeworld 3.
Essentially, “War Games” “is a roguelike in which players (alone or with a couple of friends) will take part in battles on four maps, improving their fleet in every possible way between battles.
The full release of Homeworld 3 will take place on March 8 on PC via Steam and EGS.
“You are free to make any tactical decisions. The classic mechanics of Homeworld space battles have been supplemented by giant abandoned ships that become a three-dimensional arena for battles. Use these ruins of an ancient civilization to set up cunning ambushes or hide from overly powerful opponents. Send your fighters behind enemy lines, where they will be met by fortress trenches guarded by turrets. But not everything in the game depends on you – harsh space phenomena like proton storms or asteroid fields will become serious obstacles even for experienced commanders,” reads the official description of the project.
