Now has all 8 Xe cores available on-chip
MSI presented its Claw portable gaming console at CES 2024, which was the first in the world to receive Core Ultra processors. It turned out that for one of these CPUs Intel changed the parameters after the announcement.
The Core Ultra 5 135H, which underlies the base version of the console, according to a slide from Intel's presentation, has 14 cores and an iGPU with 7 Xe cores out of eight possible for a full chip. If you look at the description of the new console on the Videocardz website, the presence of 7 Xe cores will also be indicated for this CPU. The surprise is that if you go to the Intel website now, the number of these same cores is indicated as eight, as for the older Core Ultra 7 155H. At the same time, for the Core Ultra 5 125H, the current information corresponds to the earlier one: 7 Xe cores.
Check showed that for all other Core Ultra processors there were no changes regarding the iGPU configuration. It is likely that Intel decided to strengthen the Core Ultra 5 135H after the announcement, but just in case, we sent the company a request, and after receiving a response, the news will be updated.
