Chevrolet calls it a next generation model, but in fact it is a restyling of the current model
GM introduced the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox crossover in the United States. Prices have not been announced, but there are details about equipment and technical specifications revealed. The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox has only one engine – turbocharged 1.5-liter with 175 hp. In the basic front-wheel drive it is combined with a CVT, in the top-end all-wheel drive – with 8-speed automatic transmission.
In the RS and Activ trim levels, there is a driving mode switch on the center console: “Normal”, “Snow” and Off-Road. However, the latter is only available for versions with all-wheel drive.
In terms of design, the 2025 Equinox remains virtually unchanged – it still looks similar to the larger Chevrolet Traverse and Trailblazer. At the rear, the characteristic forward-sloping C-pillar remains, but at the top it has a black insert, which creates the effect of a floating roof. The taillights have become narrower.
Chevrolet Equinox 2025 received a panel with two screens: the diagonal of the one used as part of the digital instrument panel is 11 inches, the diagonal of the screen as part of the media system – 11.3 inches. The gear shift lever has moved from the central tunnel to the steering column lever. Under the media system display is a block of traditional mechanical keys for controlling the climate system.
The crossover received a proprietary set of safety and driver assistance systems called Chevy Safety Assist. It includes advanced lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane change warning, and a rearview camera. In the current Equinox, these features are scattered across optional packages.
New for the Chevrolet Equinox 2025 is the Activ package, which features off-road decor and 17-inch wheels with off-road tires.
