A separate search engine setting for private tabs has appeared
The team of the increasingly popular Vivaldi browser announced the release of a major update, which mainly affects the data synchronization system between devices.
As the developers note, Vivaldi Sync now synchronizes the full browsing history (in encrypted form) across all devices and allows you to access it from the history panel and address bar.
Previous versions only synchronized web pages and search queries that users manually entered into the address bar. Now you can easily find all the web pages that the user previously visited on all his devices.
In addition to the full browsing history, Vivaldi Sync synchronizes bookmarks, passwords, open tabs, reading list, notes and some settings, such as search engines. Another innovation — users can search using their preferred search engine in a private tab and disable search engine prefixes. Simply put, you can separately set the default search engine for regular and private tabs.
