This plane has been idle at Sheremetyevo since 2022
One of the idle Russian Boeing 737-800s has found a use: next year the airliner with registration RA-73358, which has been in storage at Sheremetyevo Airport since 2022, will become part of the Pobeda airline fleet ; (part of the Aeroflot group).
This liner was released in May 2011. For 8 years it was operated by the German TUIfly, and in the winter it was transferred to the Canadian carriers Sunwing Airlines and CanJet. On June 15, 2019, the aircraft became part of the fleet of the Russian Royal Flight, but in 2022, due to sanctions, Royal Flight lost almost all of its aircraft and ceased operations.
Boeing 737-800 RA-73358 will be part of Pobeda» after re-registration of documents and repainting. The liner has a single-class layout and is designed to carry 189 passengers. In the «Victory» it will become the oldest airliner: the carrier's other aircraft are at least three years younger.
