And we are not talking about a concept at all, but about a production model
Renault has published fragments of the body of the future Renault 5 electric car, and there is a lot of interesting stuff here. Just look at the large screen built right into the hood. It will display the charge level of the traction battery.
The teasers also showed a rear door without a handle in the usual place, head optics, lights, and emblems. Judging by all these images, the Renault 5 will be close in design to the concept shown in 2021.
The official premiere of the new Renault 5 (gasoline cars were produced from 1972 to 1996) will take place in February 2024 at the Geneva Motor Show, and deliveries will begin towards the end of the year.
At the start of sales, they will offer a version with a traction battery with a capacity of 52 kWh and a power reserve of 400 km; later a simpler version with a battery with a capacity of 40 kWh will appear. With a price of around 25 thousand euros, the Renault 5 should become one of the most affordable electric vehicles in Europe.
