The Galaxy S24 Ultra “fries” the stylus during operation
An observation from a Reddit forum user under the nickname LatifYil made many owners of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra sniff the branded stylus: LatifYil noticed that the S Pen smells like it’s being “grilled from the inside.” Smartphone owners tested the stylus with their own noses and confirmed this observation.
The reason that the S Pen smells like burnt plastic is banal and obvious: during operation, the Galaxy S24 Ultra gets very hot, and the stylus located inside the case heats up. Another thing is interesting: the moderator of the European Samsung community forum also recorded a foul-smelling problem, but said that this is normal and there is no reason to worry.
