The Hong Kong Silver Basis Investment Development Company plans to appeal to the Moscow Arbitration Court with a demand to declare the Moscow Automobile Plant («Moskvich») bankrupt. Reason — the Russian automaker has debt, which was confirmed by the decision of the Moscow Arbitration Court dated November 24, 2023.
Apple of discord — equipment for serial production of components for Renault cars: Silver Basis Investment Development Company completed its work, but did not receive payment in full. The Hong Kong company demands to recover from «Moskvich» 2.5 million euros of debt and 124 thousand euros of penalties under an agreement concluded in 2020.
In January of this year «Moskvich» filed an appeal in which he referred to sanctions, but the arbitration court of appeal dismissed the complaint.
