The German tuning studio Mansory, known for its radical projects, took on the task of refining the new Land Rover Defender. The result is an SUV with an aggressive body kit, a luxurious interior and a powerful engine.
Externally, Mansory's Defender is easily recognizable by its new bumpers, modified radiator grille, extended wheel arches and door trims. All new body elements are made of carbon, which reduces the weight of the car. The image is completed by a massive diffuser and a spoiler at the stern, as well as a superstructure with additional lighting equipment on the roof.
Huge 24-inch wheels of a unique design, shod with low-profile 295/30 tires, deserve special attention. Their design is reminiscent of Mercedes-Maybach wheels. No less radical changes have taken place in the interior of the SUV. Mansory has completely reupholstered the interior in black leather and Alcantara with bronze contrast stitching. Some controls also received overlays in the color of the body accents.
Under the hood of the modified Defender lies a 5-liter petrol V8 with two turbines. Engine power has been increased to an impressive 650 hp, and torque has reached 870 Nm. This is 125 hp. and 245 Nm more than the standard Defender V8. Thanks to the boosted engine, the SUV accelerates to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, which is half a second faster than the original model. Maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
The cost of Mansory modifications for Land Rover Defender is not disclosed.
