The company aims to change the field of warehouse logistics

A startup that plans to bring humanoid robots to warehouses around the world is attracting increasingly prestigious celebrity backers. According to information presented in a Bloomberg report on Friday, Figure AI Inc. was able to attract about $675,000,000 in investments from partners such as businessman Jeff Bezos and Microsoft Corporation.

The artificial intelligence startup is focused on developing autonomous humanoid robots to help offset labor shortages as production capacity declines. As indicated on the company's official website, the developed robot model, called Figure 01, has intellectual abilities and is able to safely interact with people. Humanoid robots will be tasked with performing hazardous work in warehouses that lack skilled labor.

Other backers include OpenAI, which previously considered acquiring Figure AI. Also investing in the project is Nvidia, which recently announced record revenue of $22.1 billion for the fourth quarter, Bloomberg reports.
