It got a new infotainment system
The Jeep Renegade will celebrate its tenth anniversary next month, and Stellantis has announced an updated version for Europe.
The changes mostly focus on technology: the 2024 Renegade will receive a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, as well as a new 10.1-inch infotainment system that is 40% larger than its predecessor, and Has five times the processing power for «instant touch feedback, faster route calculations and faster voice response».
The multimedia system supports over-the-air updates, as well as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Buyers will also receive 4G support, the ability to remotely lock and unlock doors, and start the engine from a smartphone.
The 2024 Renegade boasts a new steering wheel and upgraded USB charging ports. The mid-level Summit trim gets new 18-inch alloy wheels that “not only improve appearance, but also improve on-road performance.” The Overland package will receive a digital camera, which «increases safety».
The e-Hybrid and 4xe plug-in hybrids are optimized for engine and battery calibration, helping to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 5%.
The 2024 Renegade is now available to order, and Jeep European boss Eric LaForge said the model «will continue to be one of the protagonists in the B-SUV segment» thanks to «a new infotainment system and new connectivity».
