Insider Ice Universe published two comparative pictures taken on Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Samsung S24 Ultra.
The pictures were taken with cameras with a five-fold zoom, but at what exact zoom level the photos were taken is unclear.
The insider adds that both smartphones are equipped with similar image sensors in their respective cameras: Sony IMX858 for Xiaomi and IMX854 for Samsung.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Samsung S24 Ultra have 5x sensors with the same characteristics: the first — IMX858, second — IMX854, with 50 MP and 0.7 micron specifications. However, the gap in software algorithms is too wide. Samsung needs to admit that it has fallen behind and times have changed.
Recall that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, as disassembly showed, is very similar to the 13 Ultra inside.
