Next year they want to produce more than 1.5 thousand drones for agriculture, monitoring and delivery
Russian company «Transport of the future» announced the opening of the first stage of a plant for the production of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in the special economic zone of Tolyatti. «Transport of the future» is developing drones, including air taxis and large drones weighing up to 700 kg, which are still undergoing flight tests. The plant in Tolyatti plans to assemble domestic drones for agriculture, monitoring and delivery; the Hector S-80 model drones will be the first to be produced. In 2024, the company plans to produce more than 1.5 thousand such devices weighing more than 10 kg.
Now agrodrones — UAS model with the clearest commercial application. We have done a lot of work with partners from the agricultural industry and created drones that take into account their experience in the field and the best global practices. In addition, mobile systems for ground servicing of agricultural drones and a system for the safe use of drones inside transport corridors have been developed. We plan that in the spring the drones of «Transport of the Future» will begin work on cultivating fields in the Samara region.
General Director of «Transport of the Future» Yuri Kozarenko
It is expected that the second stage of the plant in Togliatti will be launched by July next year, and the third — a year later, in December. The plant plans to launch production of 7 models of drones, as well as key components for such devices: propellers, engines, drivers, flight controllers, body parts. As Kozarenko noted, the company’s cluster in the Samara region will help implement the entire chain of UAS implementation in the state industry: development and production of domestic components, testing, certification, development of commercial applications, service and maintenance.
