This is the same flagship CX-90, only designed for five

It was assumed that Mazda would present the new CX-70 crossover before the end of this year, but the company revised its plans and postponed the premiere of the new product to 2024. There's no word yet on when exactly the CX-70 will debut, but powertrain details are already available.

Mazda CX-70 will be a slightly smaller version of the current flagship CX-90: the new model is designed strictly for five people. But the CX-70 engines will come from the CX-90. That is, the basic version will have a 6-cylinder 3.3-liter engine with a capacity of 340 hp, and the top version – with a hybrid powertrain based on a 2.5-liter engine. The hybrid will be plug-in, the power of the power plant will be 323 hp. All-wheel drive will be available in both versions.

Since the CX-70 will be slightly smaller than the CX-90, and the engines will be the same, the new product should be a little more dynamic than the current flagship.
