It seems that AMD processors based on the Zen 5 architecture have not only been released, but have already left the company’s laboratory. At least some of them were seen in goods declarations.
In this case we are talking about Strix Point and Fire Range processors. Of course, there are no special details there, but the first ones are listed as Strix128W. Presumably, these are either top-end Strix Halos with a very powerful iGPU with 2560 stream processors, or, on the contrary, energy-efficient 28-watt APUs. Regarding Fire Range — These are high-performance mobile gaming APUs with a TDP of 55W. Such processors will have up to 16 large cores and a fairly simple iGPU.
It is still unknown when exactly new AMD processors will be released, but definitely this year. If the recently published roadmap by Canalys is correct, the first new generation APUs will be released in the second quarter.
