Former Volvo designer worked on its appearance
The Belarusian dealer Dongfeng has an interesting crossover Forthing T5 EVO, which is distinguished by a wealth of equipment, a modern platform, proven units and a low (by today's standards) price.
If we evaluate the dimensions (4565 x 1860 x 2715 mm, wheelbase – 2715 mm), then the Forthing T5 EVO is an analogue of such models as the Volkswagen Tiguan and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max. The Forthing T5 EVO was the first model built on the new Dongfeng EMA platform with McPherson struts at the front and multi-link rear suspension. Hans-Henning Knoepfel, who worked at Volvo and Mercedes-Benz, worked on the external design of the crossover.
As for the units, they are from «world brands». For example, a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 197 hp. – this is a Mitsubishi 4A95TD, and the robotic gearbox with two clutches – Getrag DCT7 (it is installed on various BMW and Mercedes-Benz models. The declared consumption is low – 6.6 l/100 km.
In Belarus, the Forthing T5 EVO is offered in a single Exclusive package, and it is not poor: there are 8 airbags, climate control, regular (not adaptive) cruise control, keyless entry, a digital instrument panel and a media system with a 10.25-inch screen, electric driver's seat and tailgate, rear view camera and rear parking sensors, panoramic roof with sunroof.
Dongfeng Forthing T5 EVO is priced at 88,900 Belarusian rubles (that's approximately 2.48 million Russian rubles).
