The solution developed by US consists of two separate boards – for the turn signal and for the marker
«Autostream» drew attention to one feature of the updated Aurus Senat sedan, which has not yet been reported. It turns out that the car received a special LED headlight module developed by US itself. And it differs from the industry standard, which is protected by the Hella patent.
The peculiarity of the Russian development is that two separate boards are used for the turn indicator and marker, but the LEDs, arranged in a stepwise manner, shine into a common light guide. Thus, if one board fails, the second will continue to work — the car will not lose its dimensions and turn signals at the same time.
In the Audi A8 and Mercedes-Benz S-Class there is one board with a single light guide, and if the board fails, neither the dimensions nor the turn signal work. It is interesting that in the pre-restyling Aurus Senat, the turn indicator and side markers were made of different elements inside the headlights, so the Hella patent was not violated.
