The German company Deutsche Telekom showed the concept of a smartphone without any applications.
The company initially talked about it a week ago, and now brought it to MWC 2024. During the presentation, the head of Deutsche Telekom expressed confidence that in 10 years no applications for users will exist, and all the work will be taken by take over artificial intelligence.
Recall that the idea is that the user asks the AI to do something, and then the AI itself does it using some sites, platforms and services. For example, he orders a taxi, reserves a table in a restaurant, or buys movie tickets.
True, Deutsche Telekom was not able to fully demonstrate all this, since the concept is still very limited in capabilities. However, that’s why it’s a concept. Recall that the Rabbit R1 smartphone with a similar concept was shown at the beginning of the year.
Of course, artificial intelligence in smartphones will play a very large role in the foreseeable future, but in order for smartphone owners to completely stop using applications, it is necessary that at least all modern social networks and communication platforms cease to exist are of interest to these same users.
