The Yandex team presented a new version of machine translation, trained using YandexGPT. As the press service explained, the large language model YandexGPT prepared reference examples of texts on which the neural network was trained in Yandex Translator. This allowed the service to more accurately understand the context, recognize phraseological units and navigate professional vocabulary.
The translator has become better able to cope with long and complex texts. Thanks to additional training, he better identifies relationships within and between sentences. In addition, the quality of translation of articles on narrowly focused topics has increased. For example, the service will now understand from the context that we are talking about a programming language or a stock index, and will leave their names without translation.
