Mobile Google Chrome now has picture-in-picture mode

Feature available in the latest version of Chrome for Android

Google has released a significant update for its proprietary Chrome mobile browser. In version Chrome 124 for Android, it became possible to open web pages in picture-in-picture mode. 

The feature is available in Android applications that use Chrome Custom Tabs. If the app supports the feature, the user will see a downward arrow icon in the top left corner of the app's web page.  When you click this icon, the web page will move to a floating window in the lower right corner of the screen.

In this mode, you can easily interact with applications without interrupting the viewing of content in the browser.
