This is an extended version of Lada Vesta
The AvtoVAZ plant confirmed the start of pre-series production of Lada Aura cars, as reported by Autonews.ru with reference to the manufacturer’s press service.
At the moment, single copies of extended sedans are coming off the assembly line, which are intended for internal testing of AvtoVAZ, as reported by AvtoVAZ.
Full-scale serial production of the Lada Aura, as previously announced, will start in the fall of 2024. The Lada Aura turned out to be longer than the Lada Vesta, it has a larger rear door opening (and the rear door itself), the space for second-row passengers has been increased by 25 cm, and different bumpers.
The car is equipped with a 1.8-liter 122-horsepower naturally aspirated engine and an automatic transmission. The price, as already announced, will be significantly more than 2 million rubles.
Previously, insiders reported that during the test assembly of the Lada Aura there were still unresolved problems with components.
