Both models are built on the Renault-Nissan CMF-B platform, only in the case of the Iskra, reengineering was carried out “to achieve technological sovereignty”
The compact hatchback Dacia Sandero in April of this year became the best-selling car (according to JATO Dynamics statistics, cited by Autostat) in Europe. The month before last, Europeans bought 25 803 Sandero. In second place was the updated Volkswagen Golf with a result of 22 080 cars sold, third place was secured by Renault Clio (19,747 cars).
In fourth place is the compact crossover Volkswagen T-Roc (19,475 cars sold), the top 5 is closed by the Peugeot 208 (17,704 units sold). Interestingly, the March bestseller in Europe — Tesla Model Y — in April did not even enter the top 10.
If Renault had not left Russia, Sandero would have been sold here too. But now Lada Iskra — can be considered as its substitute. both cars are built on the CMF-B platform of Renault-Nissan, with the only difference being that the Iskra platform has been reengineered «to achieve technological sovereignty» . Let us remind you that the official premiere of the Lada Iskra will take place on June 5 at 13:00 Moscow time.
