It is unclear what it will be responsible for
CMF, a sub-brand of Nothing, is preparing to introduce its first smartphone, CMF Phone (1). And on platform X, the brand published an advertising video that does not reveal the design as a whole, but points to an extremely unusual feature of the new product.
The smartphone will receive some kind of control element in the form of a wheel with edges on the edge. It can be seen in an unofficial render at the bottom of the device.
What this wheel will be responsible for is unclear. Given the location, this is clearly not a replacement for volume buttons.
In any case, no other smartphone on the market has anything like it. And considering that the CMF Phone (1) will be very affordable, this makes it a unique offering in terms of design.
True, if the image is correct, although the smartphone will be able to please with this unusual wheel, as well as a back cover with imitation leather and a bolt screwed directly into this very back cover, the device will not have LED glyphs. Apparently, so as not to interfere with the sales of smartphones by Nothing itself.
