The company has revealed details about the car's characteristics
As we already wrote, the Russian company Evolute announced the release of its first hybrid car. Then, from the teaser image, the new product was identified as the Chinese crossover Dongfeng Fengon E5 — It was suggested that this particular version would be assembled in Russia under the Evolute brand. And now details have appeared on the Russian company’s website: as it turns out, the car is called i-Space, and it really is very reminiscent of the Dongfeng Fengon E5.
As indicated on the Evolute website, the Russian hybrid will be 7-seater (both 5- and 7-seater modifications are sold in China). The i-Space is equipped with a sequential hybrid powertrain with a total power of 178 hp. and a torque of 300 Nm with drive to the front axle. Under the hood there is a 1.5-liter gasoline naturally-aspirated internal combustion engine, which operates in generator mode to recharge a traction battery with a capacity of 17.5 kW (it can also be charged from an outlet).
The electric range of the Evolute i-Space is 87 km, and with a charged battery and a full tank you can travel 1,150 km, with a fuel consumption of 5.5 liters per 100 km. The car accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds. Production of this model will be organized at the company’s own plant in the Lipetsk region. While Evolute has not disclosed either the cost or the timing of the start of sales of i-Space, you can only fill out a form on the manufacturer’s website to receive notification.
