And accelerates to 276 km/h

The Chevrolet Corvette C8 set a completely new record, completing the quarter mile in 8.644 seconds with a final speed of 276 km/h.

This is the same Corvette that was the first of the C8 generation to receive 1000 hp (745 kW). It was built by the Extreme Turbo Systems (ETS) team. This 2020 model features a pair of turbochargers, a nitrous oxide setup, Mahle Motorsport pistons, Carillo connecting rods, an ARP head, and an aftermarket fuel system for C85 sports fuel.

The MoTeC ECU controls all this and provides such performance. For example, the ECU allows the engine to start at 2800 rpm without delay. Additionally, the ECU allows you to strategically increase boost as you drive along the highway.

In an interview with Motortrend, Zach Morgan, ETS race team manager, said: «First we get 17 psi, then when second gear is engaged it increases to 26, and third gear adds a little more.
