The current generation BMW X3 has become the best-selling X3 in history, and the new generation model with the G45 index should consolidate its success. The official premiere will take place in a few weeks, but for now BMW has published the first official photos.
The pictures show the top options — plug-in hybrid and M Performance versions. As reported by Motor1, the flagship version of the new generation BMW X3 will most likely abandon the «M40i» designation. in favor of «M50». Rumor has it that this crossover will be the first BMW petrol model to not have the letter «i». in the title — for decades it referred to the fuel (gasoline) injection system. But at the same time, cars with diesel engines retain the letter «d» in the name, and plug-in hybrids will be designated by the letter «e».
BMW X3 2025 will receive a more aerodynamically designed body: the drag coefficient will decrease from 0.29 to 0.27, which will improve fuel efficiency. The crossover will have a wider track and reduced lift on the rear axle. The body will become more rigid, and upgraded anti-roll bars will appear. For an additional fee, the BMW X3 2025 will be available with an adaptive chassis with electronically controlled shock absorbers. Among other innovations — advanced driver assistance systems and even more comfort options.
Access to most of the crossover's functions will be via the touch screen. Considering that the new BMW X1 has noticeably increased in length relative to its predecessor, the same should be expected from the new BMW X3.
