ZeniMax Online Studios The Elder Scrolls Online almost ten years ago. The project is still a great success.

The Elder Scrolls Online game director Matt Firor confirmed during GDC 2024 that players have spent almost $2 billion over the life of the project. This is an outstanding achievement for the developers.

It is worth remembering that the creation of the game began in 2007. In 2014, the project started on PC and then became available on seven platforms. Over ten years, The Elder Scrolls Online received 23 DLC, 42 thematic updates and 9 chapters.

This figure once again proves that service games are capable of achieving enormous success and being supported for a dozen or even several decades. Although recent titles like Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League prove that chasing trends doesn't always end well.
