Russians have lost interest in Ural motorcycles: only 400 units have been assembled this year, although in previous years, on average, three times as many were collected. According to the executive director of the Irbit motorcycle plant, Vladimir Kurmachev, the enterprise can produce many times more motorcycles, but there is no demand.
«If there is an order, we will collect them. Another thing is that there is no order. We make all the hardware here (at the site in Irbit): frames, strollers. Then all this is packaged and sent to Kazakhstan, and there what is exported is assembled», — said Vladimir Kurmachev.
Nevertheless, this year the Irbit Motorcycle Plant plans to produce 700 motorcycles. And now the company is assembling an exclusive batch of Ural City motorcycles. of 20 pieces, which is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Sverdlovsk region. The peculiarity of these «Ural» — in matte black finish. Exclusive motorcycles will not go on sale, they will be played in the quiz «Supporting Edge».
