First of all, the machine is aimed at the Chinese market
Handelsblatt reported that Mercedes-Benz is revising its strategy for the V-Class minivan: if the automaker had not previously considered releasing an ultra-comfortable version of this car, then a luxurious Maybach version is already on the agenda. True, not today.
Mercedes-Maybach V-Class will appear in the new generation of the minivan, which will debut in about two years. The car will be built on the VAN.EA electric platform, will receive two electric motors (and, accordingly, all-wheel drive), as well as a traction battery of considerable capacity — it will provide a power reserve of 500 km.
China will be the key market for the Mercedes-Maybach V-Class, although it is possible that the minivan will also be supplied to the USA. In China, the new Mercedes will compete with large local electric minivans like the Li Auto Mega.
