The “Artifact” was purchased from a collector who picked up a fragment of Starship after the launch in March 2024
Russian brand Caviar, known for its extravagant versions of flagship smartphones, presented a collection of mechanical watches called Space Tornado, inspired by the cosmic vortexes that cause the northern lights on Earth. As Caviar emphasized, the dial of the flagship Stargazer X-Edition model is decorated with a particle of the Starship spacecraft from the SpaceX mission.
The Stargazer X-Edition watch is presented in only three copies. They combine a tourbillon at 6 o'clock, a power reserve indicator and a day/night function. Especially for the Stargazer X-Edition, Caviar craftsmen created a dial reminiscent of the surface of Jupiter's moon Europa.
The most interesting feature of this watch was the Starship particle built into the dial at the 12 o'clock position. Caviar acquired this particle from a collector who collected Starship fragments in Boca Chica, Texas, just north of the SpaceX test site after launch in March 2024.
The Space Tornado series also includes the SkyWard skeleton watch with a transparent case and the Twin Spin double tourbillon watch. Prices start at 399,000 rubles for the Twin Spin model. A model with a particle of a SpaceX mission ship will cost 429,000 rubles.
