Tatarstan to produce over a thousand gas-powered Moskvichs by the end of the year, price announced

The release of the first cars is scheduled for August

In Naberezhnye Chelny, by the end of 2024, it is planned to produce more than a thousand Moskvich cars, converted to run on gas engine fuel. The commercial director of «RariTEK engineering» spoke about this. Ramil Ishmaev at a press conference on the development of the gas motor fuel market in Tatarstan. 

Ishmaev reported:

We launched a project to develop and produce gas versions of Moskvich cars. As part of this project in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny, at the production facilities of «RariTEK» installation and installation of gas cylinder equipment and engine compartment equipment takes place. And the final test of this car, after which they go to market. Now we are preparing for production and the final stage of certification of this car. 

According to Ishmaev, the release of the first cars is planned for August. The holding's total capacity allows it to produce up to 4 thousand cars per year. Ishmaev also noted that the gas version of «Moskvich&raquo. will be 120-130 thousand rubles more expensive than the standard one.

Earlier at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin spoke about the localization of Moskvich, as well as the fact that cars using a new type of fuel will begin to be assembled in Naberezhnye Chelny.
