The Resident Evil franchise is often experimented with. Looks like the next adventure will be big
Perhaps Capcom is going to give new games based on the famous Resident Evil and Monster Huner franchises an open world. Insider Dusk Golem reports this.
According to Dusk Golem, this became possible thanks to an update to the RE Engine: it received open world support during the development of Dragon's Dogma 2 and this technology allegedly intend to use it in Resident Evil 9, as well as in Monster Hunter Wilds, while this should not have an impact on the very essence of the games.
It is not yet entirely clear when it might come out the next Resident Evil (there have been no announcements yet), but the situation with Monster Hunter Wilds is more definite – the release is expected in 2025, and a full presentation of the project should be organized in the summer.
