RSC Energia has completed the initial stage of factory control tests of the new Progress MS-28 transport cargo ship. Today the ship was sent to the technical complex of the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The press service of Roscosmos spoke about this.
In the second half of 2023, Progress MS-28 completed a full cycle of autonomous tests of on-board systems, service equipment and equipment. After completing complex pneumatic vacuum and acceptance tests, specialists performed the final control procedure before loading the ship into the railway transport unit.
Roscosmos also noted that the launch of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with the Progress MS-28 cargo ship to the ISS is planned for 2024.
