Support for 4 popular 2020 models has been discontinued
Xiaomi has updated the list of smartphones that have reached the end of their life and no longer receive official support in the form of software updates – not only new features, but also security updates.
The list is quite extensive and has now been replenished with several models, including Poco X3 and Poco X3 NFC, as well as Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro. All four models are 2020 models and, as promised, have received updates for three years.
This has tangible consequences for users. Since smartphones no longer receive security updates, their continued use is unsafe and should be done entirely at your own risk. One alternative solution is to use unofficial firmware created by enthusiasts.
Note that Xiaomi some time ago extended the support period to four years for Android updates and to five years for security updates.
