The car will be sold at auction
A 1991 BMW 850i that once belonged to basketball legend Michael Jordan is up for sale on Bring a Trailer.
The car had only two owners in 33 years and covered less than 50,000 km. The model purchased by the NBA star is equipped with a 5.0-liter BMW V12 engine, which produces 296 hp, and a six-speed manual transmission. The clutch was replaced by the second owner in 2017.
The car is covered in Mauritius Metallic Blue paint, which shimmers in the light. It also features AC Schnitzer modifications that the current owner claims were installed by Jordan. The bumper, hood and front fenders have been updated.
In addition to the body modifications, the car also features 17-inch AC Schnitzer wheels wrapped in fresh Continental ExtremeContact tires (235/45 front and 275/40 rear) installed for 2023.
The interior is equipped with Light Parchment leather seats and matching door panels. It also features dual-zone automatic climate control, an AM/FM/cassette radio and a CD changer. The car also has driver's seat position memory and a power-adjustable steering column.
Auction ends on Monday, January 8th. Current bid is over $60,000.
