Reason – increase in eco-collection
Manufacturers of household appliances and electronics are confident that next year their products will become more expensive due to the new environmental requirements of the Ministry of Natural Resources, as reported by Izvestia.
The agency proposed to revise the environmental fee rates and the standard for the disposal of goods. The new rules will come into force in 2024, as follows from the draft resolution of the Russian government.
«Izvestia» We got acquainted with the letter from the association of trading companies and manufacturers of household electrical and computer equipment RATEK to the Ministry of Natural Resources. The authorities plan to increase environmental tax rates by 2.3 times, from 26.5 thousand rubles per 1 ton to 59.4 thousand rubles per 1 ton.
In addition, the Ministry of Natural Resources plans to increase the recycling rate for these products from 15 to 25%. Such steps will drive up product prices, as stated in the business’s appeal to the Ministry of Natural Resources.
RATEK expects prices to rise, primarily for large household appliances. As an example, the share of environmental fees in the retail price of the most popular washing machine Candy Smart CS34 is given. Today it is 242 rubles, and if the collection rate and recycling standard are increased, it will be 908 rubles.
RATEK calculated that the tax burden on companies under the new rules will increase by 3.7 times. Business asks not to revise the base rates.
