Association of Digital Platforms
Marketplaces Wildberries, Ozon, Yandex, Sbermarket and Avito will create an Association of Digital Platforms (ADP), as future ADC participants reported to TASS.
«The launch of the Association of Digital Platforms is the path to building effective self-regulation of the IT industry. It is necessary to build a constructive dialogue, exchange of opinions and experience between market participants, the state and consumers to protect the interests of all parties,” said Ozon Managing Director Sergei Belyakov.
Deputy General Director of Wildberries Alexey Dukhanin said that the company, as part of the association, plans to look for new opportunities for the development of the platform economy and employment, and effective approaches to regulating this area. Wildberries will continue to actively work as part of the Association of Internet Trade Companies (AKIT): «We look forward to the cooperation of AKIT and ADC, because their agenda is important for the development of two fast-growing industries: the IT market and the E-Commerce industry».
Yandex confirmed that representatives of «Yandex Taxi», «Yandex Market» will participate in the work of the association. and other services: «Right now, when the platform economy is growing rapidly and becoming a new source of employment and income for millions of people, it is important to create an inter-industry association of digital platforms that will set standards for their transparency and responsibility. Services will be able to exchange best practices for interacting with performers and setting up financial and tax processes, as well as develop joint proposals for regulation and self-regulation of the platform economy».
