They will be shown at CES 2024

South Korean tech giant LG will attend the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, US, on January 9, unveiling a series of new infotainment systems, including an in-car screen for the front passenger. Its peculiarity is that the driver cannot see the contents of the screen, that is, he simply will not be distracted by it.

This new display uses «viewing angle control technology», allowing the front passenger to watch the video in peace, while the driver cannot see the displayed content. Similar technology previously appeared on the Range Rover L322, which allows the driver and passenger to see different images on a common screen.

In addition to the passenger display, LG will also introduce a number of other new products. For example, LG's new display will «fill the entire dashboard», using the latest OLED technology to provide the driver and front passenger with an ultra-high definition image (like in the Mercedes-Benz EQS), while rear seat passengers will be offered a display that falls from the ceiling of the cabin.
