January 21
Yesterday Nvidia introduced the GeForce RTX 4090D video card, aimed primarily at the Chinese market, where the regular RTX 4090 is prohibited from being sold due to US sanctions. It turned out that the Chinese cannot yet buy the GeForce RTX 4090D.
Sales of the new card in the Middle Kingdom will begin only at the end of January. More precisely, the start of sales is scheduled for January 21 — just in time for Chinese New Year.
Some sellers in China have already posted new items on their websites, but those interested will have to wait.
Remember, the recommended price for China — 13,000 yuan, or about $1,835 at current exchange rates. This corresponds to the recommended price of the regular RTX 4090, although the new product is somewhat cut down relative to it.
