More than 400 thousand Kia Telluride will be recalled in the USA for transmission repairs

The North American branch of Kia has announced a major recall of the flagship Kia Telluride SUVs: owners of 427  407 vehicles produced from 2020 to 2024 are being called to the service. Reason — premature wear of the 8-speed automatic transmission parts, which can cause the car to roll even if the gear lever is in the P (Parking) position.

An investigation by Kia and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) after receiving dozens of complaints from vehicle owners found problems with premature wear on transmission parts, causing some owners to be unable to shift the gearshift. to the Reverse position (reverse), while for others the car rolled even if the lever was in the Parking position.
