The new product is based on the Nubia Flip for $600
The famous brand of luxury phones Vertu has released a new smartphone in a folding form factor – Vertu Ironflip. The model is initially based on the inexpensive Nubia Flip flip phone, which debuted at the end of February 2024. However, the Vertu version has noticeable differences that come down to more than just price.
The main technical difference was the hardware platform – instead of the single-chip Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 system, the new Vertu Ironflip received a high-end SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and instead of 33-watt, 65-watt charging appeared, the fingerprint scanner moved to the side. Customers also have access to a variety of design options – genuine leather of different types and colors is used for finishing. The Vertu Ironflip ranges in price from $4,500 to $7,200. For comparison, the Nubia Flip in the US costs $600.
Among other characteristics – flexible 6.9-inch AMOLED (2790 x 1188 pixels), external 1.43-inch screen (466 x 466 pixels), main camera (50 MP and 2 MP), front – 16 MP, battery capacity 4310 mAh, Android 13 OS, 12 GB RAM and 512 GB flash memory.
