“Having gotten to know this car better, to be honest, I would rather give money for a Vesta.” “Club Service” disassembled the Haval M6 and found a lot of interesting things in it

The sound insulation of this car is not good

«Club service» I disassembled the popular Haval M6 in Russia in order to familiarize myself with its design. It turned out that the car has a lot of interesting things, due to the peculiar approach of the Chinese to car design.

For example, rigid sound insulation applied to the bottom of the spare wheel well turned out to be brittle. What’s interesting is that they paint the car with sound insulation already applied, since a layer of primer was discovered underneath it, but there was no paint. In general, there is practically no sound insulation at the rear.

There are amplifiers in the doors (in the rear – one tubular, in the front doors – two each) – and this is good. It’s also good that the front brake discs are ventilated. But fastening the rear beam with a bunch of bolts can hardly be called reliable. I was surprised by the spar running under the bottom: at the rear of the car it simply breaks off and does not connect to the stiffening element. Moreover, there is not even any plug provided: in the conditions of the Russian winter, reagents and salt, such a spar, unprotected by anything, can rot very quickly. The places for installing the jack are also originally implemented in the car: they… bolted.

Dealers complained to the FAS about the factories: they cannot recoup their investments in showrooms, they are being forced to sell illiquid cars.

«Having gotten to know this car better, to be honest, I would rather give money for the Vesta. After all, there was a partnership with the French, and the car was made more or less understandable to me, as a technician. That's all [Haval M6] looks great, but, to be honest, I absolutely don’t want to have this in my garage& raquo;, – summarized Ilya Sviridov.
