Google allows third-party password managers to be used in mobile Chrome

But the function is hidden for now

Google is launching a new feature in the Chrome mobile browser for Android. As enthusiasts discovered, the stable build of the browser now includes the ability to use third-party password managers and autofill services.

The function is still hidden from most users, but it can be activated using a special flag (chrome://flags/#enable-autofill-virtual-view-structure).

After activation, the function can be configured in the main menu in the «Autofill options» section. Users are offered two options: «Default» (Google Password Manager and Chrome AutoFill) or «Use other providers». To use other password and autofill managers, you must enable them in your Android phone's settings menu.

However, users who tested the innovation note that Google hid it for a reason. They complain that third-party password managers don't immediately suggest saved usernames at first, although passwords can be substituted without problems. You also need to manually enter new login-password pairs; they are not saved automatically yet.
