Google has announced a major update to the Play Games service for PC.

What's new

First of all, the service received new games, including Clash of Clans and Clash Royale. In addition, Google has added search and support for 4K resolution to Play Games. Also, Play Games users can now play games using Xbox S|X, Xbox One, PS5 DualSense or PS4 DualShock controllers.

Google has announced Play Games for PC in 2022. Since then the service has been in beta. It can be tested by users in more than 100 countries. To use the service, your PC must meet the following requirements:

  • Windows 10 (v2004) or Windows 11
  • SSD availability
  • Game-grade GPU (list)
  • 8 logical processor cores
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 20 GB of free disk space
  • Windows Administrator Account
  • Hardware virtualization
