Apparently, these are copies with an old version of the power connector
The GeForce RTX 4090 video card has been on the market for a year and a half, but its main problem is still relevant. The danger of power connector melting has reportedly not gone away, and it is still widespread.
Service shop NorthridgeFix claims to still repair about 200 video cards every month! This is only one network of workshops in one country, although it is a very large network.
However, apparently, it is mainly cards from early deliveries that continue to break down, since Nvidia is now equipping its adapters with an updated 12-pin power connector, which is less susceptible to the problem.
Recall that neither AMD nor Intel are using the new connector for their video cards yet, and it is not a fact that they will use it in the new generations that will be released at the end of this year.
