The growth is mainly due to the Chinese
Resource «Autostat» says that many dealer networks in Russia are planning to actively expand this year, and as a result, a record number of official dealership centers may soon appear in the country.
At the beginning of this year there were 3653 of them, and this is 15.5% more than a year ago. This is primarily due to the active expansion of Chinese brands into the Russian market — the share of their centers increased to 60.4%.
If the current pace continues, very soon there may be more dealership centers in Russia than ever before. To set a new record, only 150 more points of sale are needed.
The source decided to poll some networks to find out about their plans. For example, «Jak Car» currently has 120 JAC dealerships across the country, and intends to open 40 more by the end of the year. The Omoda&Jaecoo network plans to reach 200 dealerships by the end of the year, whereas at the end of last year it had 180.
